“Sorry” a very common word yet so hard to say. For some or perhaps for majority sorry can be the most difficult word to ever say. Sometimes we do not realize its our fault. Sometimes we think our mistake is not that big of deal. And sometimes even though we know its our fault, we still cannot say sorry..perhaps our ego. Have you sometimes felt so sorry deep inside, yet never could say sorry out loud? Have you sometimes thought you would apologize when the right time comes? Have you ever realized it was just too late and the time never came? So is the importance of apologizing even a question?
Life goes on and no one waits. We sometime feel, its just the matter of saying sorry and everything will be alright. When we create a situation where we have to say sorry, we have already created a certain distance. Then, we take our own sweet time to realize our mistake, some more time to analyze if apologizing is important, a little more time to see if things will JUST be okay, and then finally we try to put our words together to apologize. We just don’t realize how much of a distance we have already created in this process. No one waits, people either move on to somewhere you can never find them or sometimes the distance created is so far apart that all we can get is forgiveness. But is this just enough?
Apologizing is not a big deal and not an option. Apologizing on time is whats important. Its sad what all we lose just because we cannot say sorry on time. Better late than never they say, which is absolutely true. When we say sorry on time, we sometimes get the opportunity to fix the situation, fix the relationship. Sorry said late, might give us only forgiveness. Forgiveness is still better than nothing, yet sometimes its just not enough.
